Jealous

I am jealous

Jealous of Birds

Because

They are free to fly

Free to follow their will

Free from any physical force ruling them

Free from negative thoughts or prejudices

They face struggles

They do

But the need to feed themselves

Keeps them alive

And let them fly higher than yesterday

We the complex beings

Always crib

Rule or are being ruled

Still don’t have that strong desire

To reach the horizon of our dreams

Thats why

I am jealous

    Possibly birds are free?
    I expect it’s a matter of perspective?
From a human point of view.

    They swoop and dive
    Roll and high fly
    Only to crash into airplanes

    Or bang into windows
    Breaking necks, or wings.
    Or are predated on.

The above was a lovely poem and I could not resist the temptation to reply, in a similar vein.

It is said that birds descended from dinosaurs? That the dinosaurs had similar bone structures? Which allowed for large species? They were feathered?

If this true? maybe the dinosaurs did not grunt and roar like mammals? They peeped and chittered, warbled and sang, like birds do today. If so? Can you imagine the dawn chorus in the Jurassic period? Cheers Jamie.

Thank you and what you wrote is true. Animals are less advanced than us but the way they behave has a deep meaning. If we understand this meaning our lives can get a lot better.

  4. This is love. After reading your poem, I am thinking, really we all make our lives so difficult and complex 🙂 I guess, being simple is difficult nowadays 😦

I am taking photographs of birds these days and this poem of yours suits them.
I always wonder the same thing when I take their photographs, how they glide over a river and they do it several times.I wish I could do that.

    1. Saloni says:

Yes they are free and i cannot do what they can. That is why I am jealous.
