Loosing Parenting Strings

This earth is our sky,
We kids are its kites,
Kites who can’t take initial fly themselves,
Need a person to tie a string,
And give that initial flight.

This person is our parents,
Who with their hard work and love,
Take all pains of cuts and bleeding,
Caused due to our strings,
To make us fly high saving from other kites.

But they tend to hold the string too tight,
Tight enough to make us fly smooth,
But not higher.
This tightness does not let us,
Elevate in sky.

Release the strings,
Strings of restrictions,
Over interference and overprotection,
Which hinders the elevation,
Of your kites.

Loose the strings,
To let us kites ,
To Choose our own direction,
To Have our own space,

Let these parenting strings be unrestrained,
To let these kites be themselves…
